Guest guest
I remember that - numb but flossing. It's definitely weird. Just go careful. Eventually you will get feeling back, and it's no fun to have shredded gums! > > Hey everyone, > > I have a question. Guest guest
Hi There I had lower surgery and it is totally numb so I know what you are describing about flossing. I am almost 2 months post op and I just keep on flossing like normal. It feels really gross but I have to do it so I am just careful not to put too much pressure on my gums as I did that once and I bled in a few places. Whoopsie...I have to be really careful what I drink or eat also cause I can't tell the temp till it is too late Take care Tanja > > Hey everyone, > > I have a question. Guest guest
Hi , I am experiencing the same thing. My gums are totally numb and it does feel really weird flossing. I am just really careful. I guess that I figure if I hit anything too hard, it would bleed and it hasn't. Pam > > Hey everyone, > > I have a question. Guest guest
, I had the same problem and actually wasn't allowed to resume flossing until 2 months post-op. I remember the first time I flossed I was really freaked out about hurting myself. I just took it easy and tried not to be too aggressive in my flossing. And I didn't floss every day, one day yes and one day no. Now at 5 months post-op I'm still numb in certain parts of my upper gum line but flossing has become less weird. I guess practice makes perfect. Just be gentle. Sara > > Hey everyone, > > I have a question.
