Guest guest
Hi , I just wanted to say that I have no idea WHY your Dr would make the button sound so scary! I think it's easier to keep clean. Changing it is hard the first time, just because it's a new experience. If you have problems with granulation tissue (caused by irritation from movement of the button) I would recommend the use of Triamcinalone Acetonide cream. The TA cream doesn't burn the way silver nitrate does, but it does take longer to work. We apply it at least twice a day (three time daily if his stoma is showing any signs of irritation). We clean Bran's stoma, put some cream around his stoma at the base of his button, and pad it with a split 2x2. Fast and easy. Hope this helps!
