Guest guest
What is Zelnorm? I haven't heard of this one. Is it for delayed emptying? Thanks, Colin (RSS) and Hayden - 5 years Grant - 2 years
Guest guest
, Basically, that is right. It is actually prescribed to people with irritable bowel syndrome. So, the hopes for us is that it will help to not gag and spit up anymore and that it will also help with his constipation. In Dr. H.'s words, " It will help to keep things moving a little better. " And, like you said, it helps the stomach empty faster/better. I think this is a fairly new thing she is trying with the kids that have delayed emptying that are spitters and gaggers, not able to hold things down. Jodi R. > > What is Zelnorm? Guest guest
, Jodi R gave a good explanation. I know that other GIs are using it all over the country. I believe Meribeth's son TJ is on it and I know of a few others. It was actually our GI who put Max on Zelnorm, but Dr.H. had suggested it before that. Since Cisapride is no longer being made, they had to come up with something to replace it and Zelnorm is the drug of choice. Jodi Z
