Guest guest
Hi Claire, Great post! It is great to hear from someone who is so pleased with the outcome! I hadn't heard of the lip burning from the metal heating from the lights, but will definately check what type of device is used for me!! And you are correct, you have been very brave, and have dealt with more than most people just seeing your before and after pics can imagine. You came through it very well though, and have had results you are very happy with! Can't wait to see your pics! Guest guest
Claire, I'm five months post-op and have had a very difficult recovery with one problem after another. I had my top jaw moved, major nose reconstruction, cheek bone and bone graft surgery. I have had 32 surgeries so far so I was " used " to hospitals but this was the biggest op I have had. My mum and her friend were staying next door to the hospital, we didn't know how long surgery would last neither did the surgeon, he said that it would take all day and I was his only patient that day, my surgery ended up lasting 14 hours! the hospital were great and my mum and her friend were allowed to stay longer than visiting hours my dad also popped in. I also had the catheter put in and to be honest was glad in some ways as there was no way I was able to get out of bed! " My iron levels were very low and i also had problems drinking and eating. I ended up having several blood transfusions. I went to sleep with one IV line and worke up to NINE I had one in each foot and one in my neck, the rest were in my arms. I was in hospital for nine days after my surgery and I went in the day before so it was 10 days all together! I too had a lot of medications to take and they were horrible!!! I'm still on most of them. --------------------------------- Yahoo! Music Unlimited - Access over 1 million songs. Try it free.
