Trouble with gaging on the splint

Hello everyone. Well here I sit at 7 days post op from my upper and

lower jaw surgery. Last night I slept all the way through the night

and today I feel very very good. I only have one little problem.

Gaging on the damn splint. Has this happened to any of you's that

were splinted? The splint sits about half way back on my toungue so

when I swallow sometimes I gag. This is driving me nuts. I have to

really concentrate hard on not trying to gag. Any sugestions?
