Guest guest
Hi, how scary, I have no clue what to say. Besides just trust your doctors and relax that they are doing the right medications. Keep yourself up and relaxed sleep is a good cure also.. Mostly relaxing and breathing and trust that everything will be all right!!! Is this doctor in contact with your IPF pulmonologist??? I know I would go all the way 60 miles to get care in my little hospital they would not know a Pneumonia from NSIP. As I have been given antibiotics just for Pneumonia and then I see my doctor in Seattle and he says it is nothing but the x-ray looks like a pneumonia. This is not your case if you have fluid and phlegm. I am thinking of you for Christmas.....Get better. Guest guest
, I'm so sorry you are sick and in the hospital for Christmas! That stinks!! I'm glad to hear they are aggressively treating your pneumonia. Please don't torment yourself by thinking, 'what if it doesn't get better?' There is no reason to think that given the right antibiotics, time and rest it won't clear up just fine. Please just rest and rest and rest. It takes time for us to recover from severe infections like this. Don't expect it to go away rapidly. Be patient. Keep us posted. We're all rooting for you! Guest guest
I'll be thinking of you this Christmas day and hoping you'll be out of that hospital soon to celebrate this holiday season. For all of us, good health is foremost on our wish list, and it is so hard to come by now. Try not to be discouraged and keep hoping for the better days that are bound to come again. Eat well and rest well and let them take care of you. Jerry/Mississippi/54/IPF/dx April 05 Who believes that hard times help us appreciate the good times even more. I'm sorry you are back in the hospital but like MB writes you, don't torment yourself with 'what ifs'. Rest is the key. I'm hoping you will have a good day. Guest guest
Hi , Here's hoping this finds you feeling better. Sick is always bad but at the holidays it just doesn't seem right. Maybe we all get there at some point.... the idea is to rest, take your meds and get better asap. My husband and I were alone this year for the first time in years. It was a mixed blessing! On the one hand, big gatherings bother me and on the other they're so much fun.... kind of schizophrenic about the whole thing! LOL Take care of yourself; and maybe next year you can have more fun with Santa! ann > > .... Well this is a heck of a way to spend Christmas, isn't it! Guest guest
, I'm sorry you're feeling so bad. I've been there so I know just how you feel. You should get better as time goes by. I'm taking hydrocodone for cough. It really helps, but there may be some reason you can't take it. I know they don't like to completely stop the cough. Please know that I'm praying for you.
