Guest guest
I had my 10-weeks post-op appointment today, and I am doing fabulously. I was cleared to eat whatever within reason today, and I am now allowed to get back to running. I have been in the gym since week 3. (FYI... I had upper, lower advancement, and genio) I have kept off 23 of the 27 lbs that I lost after the surgery. The opening in my mouth is almost back to normal, and I have most of the feeling back in my face. I still have some issues with my chin, but things are coming along nicely. The doctor said that I have about 4 more weeks of nerve regeneration to go, and then I will be golden. On the downside, I start bands on the braces next Tuesday. So, for those of you who are scared, please know that it really is just temporary. Now, off to get something tasty to CHEW! Jayar
Guest guest
Jayar I dreaded the bands also, but the time has gone by pretty fast. I will get my braces off in 2 weeks. and then I will complain about the retainers. This is just a process that never seems to end. It just gets incrementally better. > I had my 10-weeks post-op appointment today, and I am doing > fabulously.
