I'm not sulking

Howdy Folks,

No, my silence for the last three days has not been a post Super

Bowl sulk. My online server was down and I had to wait for my geeky

husband to come home and fix the problem. I use computers as over

glorified typewriters. My husband, makes them get up and sing. I

am not the geek in our relationship.

Anyway, after reviewing the foods that Connor was being offered at

school, I came to the conclusion that it was no wonder the little

guy was having frequent Hypo-g episodes. I don't think the public

school system is sensitive to the Glycemic Index of foods, hence the

diet wouldn't be so starchy and sugary. We were doing better with

my home made muffins than the tortia chips with fruit punch he was

getting for a snack. Yikes!

So, social eating is out the window for now. He's being active and

he needs mommy's nutritions lunches more than he needs oral

challenges. You win some you lose so. Life goes on.

Hope all our precious kiddo's are doing well and staying HEALTHY!

Jodie,

Yeah that's what happens at the lunch table. They all sit down to

eat, but wombat gets his lunch box down while the other kids eat the

school food. He really prefers my stuff, but for awhile he liked

the novelty of it all. However, this morning he informed me that he

wants only muffins in his snack bag, not cheese sticks. Sigh. What

a little picky eater!

lunch then all of a sudden no he will want to bring. for me i have a

harder time packing stuff for him. but i do pack a bag of extra snacks

for him everyday. and it is in his IEP that they must offer him a

snack every 2 hours or on demand.
