Guest guest
> Im glad the crock pot was mentioned- Tomarrow is pay day and im going shopping-- Anyone got some good crock pot recipes to share with me - Im all for easy :-) > Tara oh heck I am the crockpot queen, I'll send ya tons of stuff if you want!!! I get a lot of my slow cooker recipes from AllRecipes.com---but I have quite a few cookbooks for crockpots too, I'll send some of the allrecipes.com ones, cause they are easy to copy and paste, LOL I use my crockpot at the very least, 2 times a week so I'm always looking for good recipes. :-) Slow Cooker Beef Stew I 2 pounds beef stew meat, cut into 1 inch cubes 1/4 cup all-purpose flour 1/2 teaspoon salt 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper 1 clove garlic, minced 1 bay leaf 1 teaspoon paprika 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce 1 onion, chopped 1 1/2 cups beef broth 3 potatoes, diced 4 carrots, sliced 1 stalk celery, chopped you can change the veggies to any if you want to avoid potatoes and carrots, anything will do in stew. 1 Place meat in slow cooker. In a small bowl mix together the flour, salt, and pepper; pour over meat, and stir to coat meat with flour mixture. Stir in the garlic, bay leaf, paprika, Worcestershire sauce, onion, beef broth, potatoes, carrots, and celery. (I coat the meat with the flour mixture and brown it on the stove before I put it in the crockpot) 2 Cover, and cook on Low setting for 10 to 12 hours, or on High setting for 4 to 6 hours. Guest guest
So your Yorkies got potted too, huh? LOLOLOL! Thanksgiving day, my niece brought over her new little puppy, Carmella. Carmella is a " teacup " yorkie, which means you need a magnifying glass to see her. Her ears made up about half of her height, she was such a cutiepie. The thing is, never before have I seen a dog that hopped like a rabbit. She didn't walk, she hopped. BIG HIGH EXUBERANT hops! Like she had pogo sticks for legs. It was hilarious and very bizarre! So I'm thinkin' with those big bunny ears, and that hoppin' .. who the hell knows what kind of concoction was in that teacup!! Wonder what a big-eared drunk hopping teacup Yorkie would look like?!?!?! LOL! Strangely enough, Carmella is not the first hybrid pooch in the family: My pug Chloe looks alot like a bat. Mostly when she's upside down. People have actually remarked on it! And she chases and tortures bugs, trapping them with her paw then releasing them for a second or two, then trapping them again, over and over. Until she gets bored and then she eats them. My hubs & I say that if we knew her " hidden qualities " we would have named her Renfield, after Dracula's insane sidekick who ate bugs (remember him?) I thought Pam's recipe looked tasty too, now I'm gonna make sure to try it! Sober those two babies up, Joanie!
