Guest guest
Hi! I havn't posted in a long while, we are just now getting ready to start GHT for Quetzie 4.5 yrs old... so I've been lurking the postings for talk about the GH. As to the insurance/diagnosis question, my understanding from my endocrinologist was we'd do better insurance wise if he did not diagnosis her with RSS or any other label, apparently it is better to be " ideopathic " SGA. We are very excited to be starting " nutropin? " or something like that. We havn't exactly broken the news to Quetzie yet that it will be a " shot " . I have only told her that the medicine will come in a magic wand. Any ideas will be greatly appreciated!
Guest guest
<<a " mini quick " which does not need refrigeration, it is a single dose per needle so you just throw it away after each dose...you have to plunge the needle in yourself. The other choice is the pen from Genotropin, which I guess also has an exposed needle, and has to be refrigerated b/c it is multiple doses in the pen (I know you all probably know this).>> My friend Adult GHD has the mini quicks and she (an adult) says they " hurt like Hell " ... There is no way she can do it and is working on getting it changed. I use genotropin for Liam and the needle is NOT exposed in the pen.. I LOVE this device and hopefully will never have to change!
