I eat minimal amounts of protein, take no protein supplements, and exist primarily on fruit and yogurt, and well, some low sugar ice cream, too. I have not gained a pound in two years. Reasonable amounts of carbohydrates are not going to kill you. I don't seem to have the lactose intorence but I haven't tried any " real " stuff so I guess I'm not sure.
