Guest guest
Ditto here- I put honey and cinnamon on everything/anything I could when I started! I even made egg whites quite often- beat them stiff with honey and vanilla (I know, NOT good for you that often, but I was an addict!). You're sugar cravings are totally normal and rest assured they will subside. I was just in awe yesterday thinking of how far I had come in my first year on SCD- when I started I had to carry honey packets with me everywhere in fear that I wouldn't have some kind of sweetener. I barely reach for them now! -Joanna SCD 9/2009, Crohn's 1992, 20mg Prednisone > > Honey. Banana pancakes, butter, cinnamon, honey. > > Actually, I used honey and cinnamon on everything almost. Guest guest
I started out using 1 tablespoon of honey in each cup of yogurt, and 1/2 cup of honey in each batch of brownies. I also frequently had a spoon of honey throughout the day. Now I use 1/2 tablespoon of honey in each cup of yogurt, 1/3 cup of honey in each batch of brownies, and no spoons of honey throughout the day. I used to frequently drink juice too, but now just use a small amount to flavor a glass of sparkling water. I still love sweets, I just don't need as much of it to be happy :-).
