Dear Brave Souls

who on Grad list knows about free weights and body definition for women?

Please email me or post on grad list so all can see.

I hear it increases bone density, and I have muscles, and would like more

definition.

I am particularly interested in what size weights and rep routines for

buiding definition.

I am also interested if anyone konws a good book on women and building nice

mucle cuts with free weights.

Thanks,

ceep

Muscle definition is primarily a result of very low body fat percentage.

Muscle size is a factor, but the people with really ripped bodies have about

4% body fat.

Here's a good website...

STRONG WOMEN STAY YOUNG by Miriam E. is very

readable, with information on why strength-training is a

Good Thing and a routine to follow.

Best,

I have one of this lady's books, the routines aren't hard at all. (It's just a

matter

of making myself do them, sigh.)

The book I have is called Definition. It is specifically tailored for women.

Hi Ceep,

said it well.

The site www.bodybuilding.com is a wonderful site with tremendous archives of

information regarding nutrition and in particular protein. This is much more

than a hard-core bodybuilding site. Their nutrition advice is usually well

documented. Their devotion to cutting fat and adding muscle is paramount.

Additionally, there many articles regarding supplementation. Not surprisingly

many are the same bypass patients use and need.

There are thousands of routines. There is a section for woman.

Muscle, and it's reaction to stress in weightlifting is not gender specific.

I am also sure you will like their articles on the mind.

Good Luck!
