That would be more likely at age 41. With anemia you have to think poor absorbtion, low iron, or blood loss. Do you know if that is Gyn or GI? Don't know about the platelets, but since they are important for blood clotting, that might account for bleeding. I would wonder about Vit B12 and Vit K with bleeding. I think you would have to let your docs figure out what is going on before deciding about hormones. My menopausal experience was just skipping cycles until everything stopped, not excessive bleeding, so I don't have any advice. I would think hormone testing- thyroid- would help figure things out too. I hope you feel better. This sounds miserable as if the big M is any fun in the first place. I had the insomnia. I will let them do their thing but in the meantime, I am going to try some home remedies and sto taking anything but Arnica for pain. I'm so sick of this too. My PCP relates everything to smoking...even anemia so the next few days, months? will be fun.
