Guest guest
Hi Serenity, First of all, welcome to the board!! There is tons of great information here. And LOTS of support as you go through this process. As to the insurance plans, maybe someone is here from your area who can address your specific question. But if not, be sure to ask qustions about each plan. Many times, there are people in your workplace who can explanin the differences among available plans, or there are contact people within the plans who can address specific coverage questions. Since this surgery is often several months following initiation of the process, most pre-existing clauses are not applicable. But again, that will depend on your plan. So ask lots and lots of questions, and find out who in your group gives the information about what each plan includes and excludes. Let us know what you find out too. Good luck with this! Guest guest
Hi Fran & thank you for replying to me & welcoming me to the board I can't get group insurance--my employer does not offer health insurance. That is why I am seeking individual health insurance, not group. My concern is that Maxillofacial surgery will be excluded from an individual's policy. I don't really know... I will call the doctor's office and ask them if they take the specific plan I am looking at (prior to getting it). All I know is that I need to do something already. I have been struggling with this problem for over a decade now & am ready to just do what it takes (even if I wind up having to take out a medical loan). --serenity_111 > > > > Hi everyone, > > I can't tell you how happy I am to have found this group > > I am trying to get the ball rolling on this whole maxillofacial > surgery > > thing... > > I am in the process of getting individual health insurance.
