Guest guest
Hi , I am preop, but will have the lower septal repair with the jaw surgery. But I have a second rhinoplasty set up for later that will deal with the upper septual changes and with that one, I am doing a cosmetic improvement too. I don't know how it worked for others who had the whole thing at one surgery. Sorry! I hope your appointment goes well! Let us know what you find out. Hugs, Fran > I've seen that some of you have had nose work done at the same time as the > jaw surgery--did you have any reshaping done, or just fixing the deviated > septum? Guest guest
Thanks for the responses! I talked to the ortho about the possibility of a nose job too; he said whether it could be done at the same time would depend on how long the jaw surgery would be, and if i'd have to stay overnight, and those kinds of thngs. He recommended talking to the plastic surgeon about it. He didn't rule it out, but didn't say, yes, deifnitely, either. The dr. also said " most definitely not! " for the invisalign as the first step. So braces it will be...It's possible to do invisalign after the surgery, but that would add an extra $2k and I don't think it's worth it. I'll just do the braces again for any " fine-tuning " afterwards. Has anyone had to have any further treatment AFTER the surgery, to get the teeth into the right position (fine-tuning, as the dr put it)? brenda --------------- Hi , I am preop, but will have the lower septal repair with the jaw surgery.
