Guest guest
Thanks Mike and for your reassuring words about my sons treatment so far. I'm feeling so much better today. I was able to read your emails before heading off to the appointment at CT this afternoon. It was a very long appointment but for good reason. I think the tech knew what my response was going to be to her question " So how has it been fitting? After I filled her in on how much it was slipping from side to side and up and down toward his nose she immediately said that's what she expected. Then the best part. She said she has already worked it all out and needs a new helmet and there wouldn't be any charge. Yeah!!! That's exactly what I wanted to hear!!!! I was so so worried that they'd say I'd have to pay for this new one since my son grew so much in the last 5 weeks. They took another DSI scan which didn't want any part of. Poor guy. Took them 3 tries to finally get one good enough to use. So he has 1 week off from wearing anything. Hopefully his system will get used to the helmet again quickly and we won't have so much trouble adjusting again. Thanks for all the information and advice. It's so great to have this support group.Cheri 5 1/2 months - DOC band 5 wks, waiting for band #
