Guest guest
I am looking for information to take to our local Graduate support group. We are having to form our own, not run by the Dr. office. I just had my revision, the shots in the stoma and have noticed some difference. Finally after almost 3 years, I get full. So many of our graduates are struggeling and several are like me, gaining and never can get full. We need to know what legal avenues we have, eg. I was told that medicare would cover me, then Dr. did not find any ripping in the staples. Therefore, I 'pray' that the doc wrote the order strong enough to show that it was medically necessary. Gaining weight, never getting full, and getting the pre-surgery illnessess seems to us a medical necessity for the surgery to lose weight, in a revision to fix it or the initional surgery. So I wait to see if it will be covered. (on social security, it had better. Also, we are looking for good information to ways to eat, to prepare our food, and generally to live our lives and not get down and give up. In the support group we go to with the Dr. office, we are not allowed to talk about these problems. It might scare the new looking people off. But we do have issues. So any help and ideas would be appreciated. Ruby Starr, Coos Bay, OR
