Guest guest
I had nose drops for my first week home from the hospital, now I have a prescription spray called " nasinex " - both recommended by my O.S. and clears out my nose quite well. I haven't experienced what you are experiencing, I feel for you - see if your OS can recommend the spray. Sleep sitting up, have a humidifier by your bed. Try to stay calm, and always have your cutters with you - that you can open your bands if you have to - that maybe will help ease your anxiety to know that you are in control if you have to open your bands. Maybe once the swelling goes down in your mouth, you will be able to breathe a bit better with the bands on. Take care, Pam > Hi all, > I have been a silent member of this group for a little while. Guest guest
Hi Sriram, I can't help you with what to do as I am preop, but I can offer my support for your discomfort and concern. I would have the same concerns. I think Pam's post was great though. I have seen the nasal spray she mention in other peoples posts as well. Please call your OS and tell them what you told us here. I am sure there is something he can recommend or prescribe to help you through this phase. I am glad you posted. Guest guest
Thanks Pam and Fran. It is such a nice feeling to hear from this newsgroup. I have a prescription nasal spray - " affrin " , hopefully, it will help me tonite. I have been banded shut, not wired. Are there others that had to endure this for 8 weeks? My lips a so swollen that I cannot be them them apart, and this has worsened the droolling.
