Kim,

We've actually stayed at the Salisbury and loved it! The rooms were very

clean and quite spacious. An added bonus is that for $3 you can eat

breakfast in a " dining Room " and it is great. Hot and cold items and again

very good as well. The hotel isn't on a busy street per say, but it is very

close to lots of fun stuff! Have a good trip!

Subject: Re: staying in NY

Our appointment with Dr. H is next Friday (1/13). We are staying at

the Salisbury - the first time staying at a hotel there. We

previously stayed at Mt. Sinai Guest Residences & the hotel that was

associated with Cornell Medical Center. I never hear of the Newton.

I'd be curious to see what you think of it thoug. It sounds like you

got a great rate. I am paying $146/night at the Salisbury, which was

still better than Mt. Sinai. It says that most rooms and all suites

have pantries with sinks, microwaves, refrigerators, and

coffeemakers. The fridge is a plus! It is on 57th Street - a bit

away from Dr. H, but we are staying in NY for a few days, and it is

in a nice area for sightseeing.
