Guest guest
I'd guess die-off first. You can feel unbelievably bad with die-off. Is he doing anything in the way of pro-biotics, yogurt, ferments? If so, I'd say cut them back or all the way out, to try to slow down the die-off so it's more bearable. Slower is usually more comfortable. Good luck, these are not fun periods. But, if it is die-off, then suddenly it will end and he'll feel noticeably better. Okay, so got an " update " from my husband today... He's having " inner " shakes (feeling like his whole body is shaking, but outwardly it's not), numbness feeling or tingling in his tongue, feeling extremely weak (to the point of thinking he's going to pass out), and severe inability to focus or concentrate on mental tasks at work. With all that said, he thought it was just after eating protein (hence the post yesterday!), but did a " test " today and it started before he even had anything to eat, and continued throughout the entire day, no matter what he ate. He's feeling AWFUL, and while he had some of these symptoms pre-SCD (we were gluten and dairy free though), he says that it has gotten progressively worse since beginning the SCD about 3 weeks ago. Is this Die Off? Or something else? We don't want to automatically go " die off " , when something serious could be going on that shouldn't be discounted or " trudged through " . Any help is much (and greatly!) appreciated right now!!! Carissa
Guest guest
I've had what felt to me like tongue swelling a few times over the years though it might have been numbness. Might well have been die-off. The first time I can pinpoint it was 29 yrs. ago when I was new to all this fungal stuff. I remember it specifically because I was taking my daughter on a trip for treatment. I might well have been on nystatin at the time so it might have been die-off. Very scary!! Am happy to say that it hasn't happened in many years. Artful Carol Former me: From babyhood - CFS, Depression, Candida, Severe Chemical, Inhalant, and Food Allergies. Current me: Global Carb and Fungal Problems well-controlled past 30 yr. by extremely low-carb, no dairy, no grains allergy/anti-yeast diet, SCD 01/05. After 35 yrs. no need for allergy shots since SCD! Magnesium/Vits A, B, D, E/Evening Primrose, Fish, Olive, and Other Oils, Lecithin. 2 grown kids recovered from serious developmental problems which I believe were fungally-caused. > > > I'd guess die-off first. Guest guest
He is doing the yogurt (like all of us), and that was one thing we discussed last night. So maybe that would help cutting that out for a bit. We'll see!! =) Thank you! > > > I'd guess die-off first. You can feel unbelievably bad with > die-off.
