Re: HcG tests on RSS children

Hi Rae,

Since I have to ask, it is apparent I no nothing about these tests.

So can you tell me what are HcG tests and what is the purpose of

these tests? Are they supposed to be related to RSS or growth issues

or something else?

Hi Ken,

As far as I understand it, the HcG tests are being carried out to

ascertain how much testosterone is being produced. The RSS child in

question is under the care of Dr Stanhope in London, so I assume that

the tests are being carried out in relation to RSS, and maybe his

commencement of puberty. I am sorry that i got the child's age wrong,

he is 11 yrs, not 9 yrs old.
