Guest guest
Hey, I'm 12 weeks post-op and everything was textbook. I had lower moved back and up, upper moved forward and up. I have had no problems until now, now that the swelling has almost gone. I, and everyone else has noticed that I look like I have no top teeth. And now my upper lip is to close to my nose which makes the top half of my face look way to short and my chin look even longer. My doctor shaved off some of my upper bone, he said so I wouldn't have a gummy smile. But I didn't think I did in the first place. My face was kind of long so I guess he had to do it also so he could raise my bottome jaw bone up. The only thing I wanted to have done was my bottom jaw bone moved back. It was his idea to do the rest so I would look better, and now I look so much worse. I guess I should have left well enough alone. People use to tell me I looked like , now I look like her toothless cousin. When I let my mouth fall open you can't see my top teeth!!!!!!!! My husband, who by the way did not want me to have this surgery, said I looked like someone who has taken out their false teeth and left them out. I'm only 38. What am I going to do? Does anyone know if this can be corrected? I'm going to call my doctor Monday and go in and talk with him. What if I have to have surgery again?!!! I can't believe this is happening!!!! I didn't have any other problems besides bad headaches, which I still have. So basicly, I have went through hell to come out looking worse than before. Sorry for the pitty party, I just thought after wanting this for 20 years, everything would have turned out like I expected it would. Thanks for listening.
