Guest guest
I dont think the rash is from mites.. I only have a few spots on me.. and they have sporadically shown up in the past 10 days or so.. I will get one, it looks like a bug bite, then blisters, and gets scaly feeling.. maybe 3-4 days later, another one will appear in a different spot, etc.. Thanks for responding Peachy hugs,
Guest guest
Try a dermatologist. They are better at these things. Seems to me that the PCP and ENT are falling down on the job. I don't know is not good enough. If they believe that it is psychological, why Lexapro. Doesn't make sense. Good luck and let us know what happens. Guest guest
- re the rash? could it be from mites? Two problems.. please help if you can Hi everyone, I am experiencing nasal sores.. they are painful , and go away whenever I am on antibiotics for any reason. They come back worse than the time before within 10 days of being off antibiotics.. this has been going on now for over a year. Yes, I have seen my pcp numerous times, and the ENT as well. They dont have a clue as to why or what is causing this.. any ideas.. I am not routinely around any type pet.. or anything new .. The second problem is the rash that I have started getting.. I started Lexapro at 5 mg daily over two weeks ago.. and since have broken out in several spots.. these places start out looking like bug bites, itch like mad, then blister and scab over.. no pattern to them though.. both sides of torso, back and thighs are at present affected.. Thanks in advance for any suggestions or ideas. Guest guest
Dear Fay, I am seeing a psychiatrist because I have been very depressed. She started me on Lexapro for depression, post traumatic stress disorder . I have some physiological depression and some situational depression at this time. I do feel that the Lexapro is helping me to cope better. Thanks for the input. Peachy hugs,
Guest guest
, many years ago I had a Persian cat that had mites. I had the same type of rash that you describe on my legs and arms. I was living in a somewhat rural community and the dr - had me take all of my cats in to be tested and low and behold, only my Persian had them (she had hair like a soft bunny) got her treated and my problem went away. Good luck to you! Joanie > Two problems.. please help if you can > > > Hi everyone, > I am experiencing nasal sores.. they are painful , and go away > whenever I am on antibiotics for any reason. Guest guest
Just out of curiousity, have you been swimming in any pools lately? I get a rash like you described from pool water. I am an aqua instructor, so this is a real problem. From my research, I think it is from a very common bacteria in pool water. I have started using waterproof sunscreen before going in the pool, and it seems to be doing the job so far. Of course, ther could be many other things that could be making you break out. This was just a possibility i thought I would mention. Guest guest
Dear Chrissie, No.. not been in any pools since last August when I visited Deb in Ohio. It is much too cold for me.. even in summertime. Pool water temps seem cold to me.. I like very warm water.. am cold most of the time now. I did go see my pcp today .. she cultured the sores in my nose and gave me a rx for antibiotics for a month , then an appt for a recheck at that time. She looked at the rash and thinks it is some type contact dermatitis Peachy hugs,
Guest guest
Well, at least that is one thing you can cross off the possibilities list. Have you tried upping your vitamin E? I have been told that Vit E can help dermatitis, and many of us are more susceptible to this as the weather gets colder. Make sure it is dry vit E also.
