Guest guest
My surgeon gave me a prescription for Nasanax, which is a nasal spray and really helped clear my nose - I used it for a couple of weeks. Ask your surgeon if you can get him to recommend something, I wouldn't try and over the counter spray without talking to your OS first. Good luck! Guest guest
I was given Afrin and some other decongestant spray by my surgeon to use for the first week post-op. 2 sprays in the morning and two sprays at night but it only did so much. When desperate I used to also stick my head literally in front of the humidifier or take hot baths and try to breath in the hot steam. That sort of softened the goo in my nasal passages (sorry I know gross) and then I would take an earpick and literally gently scoop the gunk out of my nose. Ewwwwww! I know. Sorry for the graphic details. But it really worked for me and helped make breathing easier without blowing my nose. Hope this helps and good luck!
