Guest guest
Congrats, Clare! I'm glad to hear that everything is going well, and I hope you get your birthday present of splint removal. :-) brenda > > Hi OSS! > > I just had an 2-week appointment with my OS, and everything is going better > than expected! Guest guest
Clare~ What did you have done. How long were you wired shut? I am having upper and lower surgery in February and just curious to hear others stories. Great to hear you are feeling so well already. VERY encouraging for those of us waiting. > > Hi OSS! > > I just had an 2-week appointment with my OS, and everything is going better > than expected! Guest guest
I had an upper 3-piece lefort, palate expansion, all my wisdom teeth pulled and my deviated septum fixed. I looked at my x-rays today, and there are 4 plates and 16 screws there. My x-ray looks a lot like darth vader! So a lot of upper jaw work. I think a lot of people (most people that I hear from on this board) have lower jaw surgery, fortunately I did not, but I think I had nearly everything else! I was banded shut for 2 weeks, and this morning my surgeon told me that I could just wear the bands at night. Which makes talking a whole lot easier! Everything is going well, and I hope to hear some more good stories on this board soon Clare > > Clare~ > What did you have done. How long were you wired shut? Guest guest
Hi Clare, That is great news! And I am really happy for you that you can get rid off the splint and lugs for your 22nd birthday! What a great birthday surprise!
