Guest guest
Lyn -- I LOVE THIS KIND OF WEATHER!! Need to find out if it's o.k. to snowmobile to Vitalady's house and pick up some stuff that I'm out of since the entrance to our street is an ice hill and not sure if the van will make it, but I know the sleds will... We have about 8 " on our back deck and it's snowing like crazy still. Tina (jelly bean toes) & Sheriff too!! Well Vitalady, I hope you're happy! ... cause it's snowin' like mad here in Washington! School are closed, I couldn't get in to work, nothing's moving, and I just watched the tv news crew go sliding down a road and crunch into the curb, live, as they were following two cars that went skidding into each other! I just hope Lorraine and Carol made it in to the hospital while they could still get there! grumble grumble... I grew up near Chicago, don't need no snow! ~~ Lyn G
Guest guest
Wow, anyone that could check in on Loraine & Carol for us? Just please don't send that storm east, OK? Pretty pleeeeeeze!!! Hey, maybe they'll show that film clip on the news here, too. in NJ ************************** > ... cause it's snowin' like mad here in Washington! Guest guest
Snowmobile or not, I've had it with this weather. If it weren't for my business, I'd be in the sunbelt in a New York minute! in NJ ************************* > > Picture my face -- blowing a huge raspberry at you! Guest guest
I'd take another pic of my jelly bean toes, but with this much snow, all you'd be able to see are my ankles!! Guest guest
Yeah, for those of us used to inclement weather, snow is rather easy to drive in. A foot of snow will give you more traction than that little icy covering. But, I'd hate to be in an area where people don't know how to drive in snow...wouldn't be fun. in NJ ********************** > > I've driven to work in Chicago in 2 feet of snow. > > The difference here is the wet -- it freezes under the snow, making it incredibly slick. Guest guest
As a Texan I can attest to the fact that some Bubba's in the panhandle think that their four wheel drive Ford pickup can coast over any 'ole thang and it'll still be able to stop on a dime. Right. I have lived here my whole life, people either drive reallly slow or too fast. I wish we had snow up here. It is barely going to make it to 31 and we are freeezing!! Guest guest
Uh huh, sure it's beautiful and silent while it's falling, but wait until tomorrow when the dig-out comes and then the dirty slush. Ugh! in NJ ************************* > > > Ah well, the problems snow brings. Guest guest
Well I am glad I decided to not come out to Puyallup today! Went to Yakima instead and was quite surprised that it was snowing heavily there too (who woulda thunk that one? Snowing in the desert???). My mom in Ballard said they got about 8 " of snow and she was crying about how cold it was. I'm like " COme out here and try the minus 15 we had last night! " LOL LOL at Jelly Bean Toes snowmobiling in Puyallup today...hehe...she didn't even need to come to Salman La Sac to get some good snow! ~Kricket
