Guest guest
Tacos are very yummy with cheese chips- do you know how to make those? Just put a mound of grated cheese on parchment paper and bake at 350 until golden brown. It becomes crispy and then you get the cheese for your taco along with the crispyness you used to get with the shell! -Joanna > > I am making this today, Thank-you ! Keep in mind that chili powder is mix, so you have to make your own. — Marilyn New Orleans, Louisiana, USA Undiagnosed IBS since 1976, SCD since 2001 Darn Good SCD Cook No Human Children Shadow & Sunny Longhair Dachshund Babette the Foundling Beagle
Guest guest
the only time i've seen a mix that would be illegal is one sold for making 'a pot' of chili .. sometimes they put in masa harina (ground hominy corn) to thicken it. here's a recipe for homemade chili powder ... if you have the energy ... it looks good ... and hot ... i'd take the seeds out of the peppers first it if were me. Chili Powder 6 New Mexican chilis 2 Anchos 2 Chipotles 1 Tablespoon Cumin 1 Teaspoon Mexican oregano 1 Teaspoon garlic powder Grind all ingredients in the spice mill until well mixed. Use this chili powder recipe immediately for best flavor, or store in a small, tightly sealed glass container.

Guest guest
Penzey's spices are legal- I use the plain ones, don't know about any mixes. You can order them online.
