OMG. You don't know how glad I am to hear this! To me, Brockton's head doesn't

appear to be all that big. They say that it is though. Must be more of that

denial sneaking in. I get so frustrated because he walks all over the

place........holding the walls and furniture, of course, but when he falls it

frustrates me that he doesn't even try to catch himself. I don't want to be

right on top of him all the time but it makes me feel so awful when he gets

hurt. I'll talk to Candy, his PT, when she comes today. IF she comes today.

It doesn't seem like we ever get all of our visits in. I don't think we've had

a single week yet where he's had all 6 visits. He gets 2 days a week with each

of his therapists.

thanks again!

Hey Jeanie,

For a LONG time Bran was the same way! And of course, with his head being so

much bigger than the rest of him, it ALWAYS hit first!

Our PT worked a lot on side-sitting, and catching himself so he wouldn't

fall over. She would also put him in a " tub " type container. One that fit

him well, not too big, not too tight. Our green Mega-Blocks container worked

well. She would slowly tip the container, and make Bran work on balancing

himself. Front, back, and both sides. This worked on his torso muscles, and

helped him learn to stick his hands out to catch himself, too.

goes through periods where his head looks proportionate, and then

there are times when you look at him and he's all out of proportion again!

It's almost like his head grows, and then the rest of him catches up! LOL

You don't really notice it when he's clothed, but when you strip him down

for a bath, or to change him, that's when you'll see it.
