Guest guest
Hi Toni. I discovered this site after my surgery too which was 13 weeks ago. When I first looked in the mirror which was the day after surgery I was shocked at how great I looked but also too how bad I looked I was very swollen and bruised. I was in surgery for 14 hours and it felt that way too. I am pleased with the outcome of the surgery, to begin with I didn't think I would recommend the surgery to anyone but now I would. My surgery said that it was the post surgery blues. My mum has been factastic through out and I don't know what I would have done with out her. When my little brother saw me for the first time he ran in the other direction saying that I wasn't his . After much coaching and reassurance from my mum and nurses he came to my bed and asked me some questions and decided I was his sister again. --------------------------------- Start your day with Yahoo! - make it your home page
Guest guest
Thank you for the input . So I guess there really is a light at the end of the tunnel? What surgery did you have? 14 hours is a long time! I am feeling better today. The swelling is still extensive, but I am up doing laundry (with help) and dishes. Life does go on, even when Mom is down! Our golden retriever dog wouldn't look at me when I first came home from the hospital. She barked and ran the other way. Makes me feel great. haha But she has since decided that I am ok to love on. I'm glad you are recovering. Penketh wrote:Hi Toni. I discovered this site after my surgery too which was 13 weeks ago.
