Hi,My son Evan sees Dr. as well.  We started out with Restorative Health Service's helmet since that's what he recommended.  I didn't even know at the time that Hanger was in town.  My son started wearing the helmet when he was 6 months old back in November.  The back of his head had rounded out nicely, but he still has asymmetry in his face and forehead.  About a month ago I wasn't feeling too good about the  fit of the helmet so I did some research and found the Hanger location.  Dr. agreed to switch the helmet after looking at the sample from Hanger.  He did tell me before I made my decision that both were basically the same.  I really don't know if it is or if I'm just being a paranoid impatient mom:)  Are you in Nashville?  I live in lin.  I have been trying to find other parents in the area to talk with because I could've used some info and recommendations myself a couple of months ago.  If you like we could meet up somewhere and I can bring you both helmets and you can see how it fits my son.  Also, I can explain the problems I had with the previous helmet and the current " problem " I have with the Hanger helmet.  Anyway, all of this has been out of pocket for me.  Still waiting on an appeal with the insurance company, but don't have much confidence that they'll pay.  I really would like to help you out because it is such a difficult decision.  If you like you can email me at: rapptk@....

I saw Dr. at Vanderbilt who refers everyone to a company in Nashville called Restorative Health Services. Has anyone used this company? I've been doing a little research and found out there is also a Hangar here. I am scheduled for an evaluation with the orthotist at Hangar, BJ Stagner this Friday. Has anyone in Nashville ever gone with Hangar instead of restorative health services? The orthotist over the phone at Hangar said he has been doing helmets for 13 years and seemed knowledgeable. When I asked Dr. about Hangar he said Restorative Health's helmet was cheaper and just as good in his opinion. I called Restorative Health and they said that Dr. actually helped design and develop the helmet. Anyway- I'm just trying to navigate all this and could use some advice! If most of the babies in town are referred to Restorative Health I wonder if I'll be making a mistake if I go somewhere else??
