I looked up on line about how to freeze pears... but it keeps saying that I have

to make a syrup solution with sugar....

Do any of you know how they will keep if I just peal them and freeze them with

out the syrup solution?

I was give 3 bags full.. I cooked one into a pearsause.. But afraid the others

will go bad before I can get to them..

If I go ahead and make a bunch of sause.. Does that freeze well???

I think I timed it once and I boiled my pears for near an hour.. of course if it is a LARGE batch like my last one was it took a good while just for my water to get hot..

I cook them until very tender and a knife slides through easily..

You boil them? Not bake? I baked mine for 1 hour with some water.

I'd try a mixture of about half honey and half water for the sugar

syrup.

Pear sauce freezes just fine.
