I'll be traveling to Toronto for a conference in a couple weeks, and I wondered if anyone had any tips, e.g. places to eat that might be SCD-friendly. I'm only there for 2 days/1 night and staying at the home of a friend, so I should be able to cook dinner and breakfast, but I might also want to go out with other conference participants. The conference is at St. 's College at U of Toronto and I'm staying near there.

Also, since I'm only going for 2 days I wasn't going to check any luggage, but I know that restricts what food I can take with me. Does anyone know if the following would be problematic: hard-boiled eggs, canned fish (like sardines or mackerel), nuts, dried fruit? I read the travel info in the Files, but I wasn't sure about these items. I assume nuts and dried fruit would be okay, unless they are problematic from an international standpoint (as opposed to TSA). My friend gave me info about locations of grocery stores, but it'd be great to have some food with me for when I first get there.

(And does anyone know whether the Metro grocery store in the College metro stop sells DCCC?)Thanks everyone!Misha
