Guest guest
Hi Everyone, My son is almost 7 months old. He has mild plagiocephaly which is being treated with CST, with some success. However, my husband doesn't think he's seeing enough of a change and thinks we need to go with a helmet. I am trying to convince him to give me another month of CST before we decide. But our orthotist told us that the " window of opportunity " for the helmet is quickly closing and that he'd rather put the helmet on at 7 months than 8 months to get the best result. I really want the helmet to be the last resort. Has anyone else put a helmet on at 8 months or later and had good success?
Guest guest
My daughter got her helmet at 9 months old. She will be graduating on January 14th at the age of 14 months minus 6 days... I will be posting her numbers later on today as we had our exit scan yesterday. I am happy with the results. The reason she did not get hers until 9 months was becasue we were treating her with CST also. The CST only got us so far. The CST imporoved her head shape so the amount of correction was not so great. I think that is why our results were good. Hooper Camille Hooper 13 months Danmar helmet graduation day is January 14th!! Helmet at 8 months? Hi Everyone, My son is almost 7 months old.
