I have to have one next week. All I know is that the Resp Therapist from Apria is coming to my home to give me this test to make sure I can use a conserver for my portable oxygen. Right now I'm using continuous flow O2 for my C-cylinder portables that I use outside the house and I am going through them too fast.

Hi Folks,

I'm blanking out as to what an Oxygen Titration Exercise test is. I'm sure I've had one, but please refresh my memory.

Thanks,

AB

Make sure they give you a conserver that is at least in the range of 5:1too. If for some reason you have trouble with one conserver there aredifferent types. There are pulse vs. demand and pneumatic vs.electronic. Most people can use conservers until they reach a flowrequirement of 6 lpm or so and then some are no longer able to. The veryfact they delivered portables to you without conservers is nonsensical.>> I have to have one next week. All I know is that the RespTherapist from Apria is coming to my home to give me this test to makesure I can use a conserver for my portable oxygen. I just pointed it out because Aetna (and others too) certainly has a lot

of old equipment and conservers sitting around. Some of those only give

you a 2:1 or 3:1 ratio while now there are newer models around that have

a much higher ratio and will last you much longer. I'd advise anyone who

has a conserver to check the model number and go online and see what the

ratio is. It's really foolish if you're not being given the best

equipment available providing you the most mobility possible.
