Guest guest
Oh yes, I remember this site. It says, " Questionable Doctors is the only comprehensive, publicly available databank that contains information on doctors who have been disciplined by state medical boards and federal agencies in the past ten years. " Why is it the ONLY public databank? I'm guessing it's pretty new. I know at one time, it was an absolute no-no to divulge a doctor's legal history. in NJ ************************* > >> http://www.questionabledoctors.org/images/splashpage.jpg >

Surgeons will not operate on high risk patients, because it will raised their loss rate, so they go untreated to die anyway. Guest guest
In the state of Ohio we get (those who are licensed) get a list quarterly of who has sanctions against them and for what. I'm not sure if this information is readily available to the public. You could call you state medical & nursing boards to find out, at least on the local level if that's true or not. The only problem I see with these sites is that you truly don't know the details of the actions brought against the physician. And was the physician truly at fault. When a lawsuit is filed EVERYONE in contact is listed, who have has their name on the patients chart. My sister-in-law was a consultant and actually was the one who identified the problem, began treatment, contacted the Peds surgeon, and the mess up happened there, but was named in the suit. The lawyers don't give a hoot, wither doc xyz is not negligent, only doc abc, they take them all down. They have those $$ signs in their eyes. Plus they know that it costs much less to settle out of court then to prove innocence in a court of law, so they win either way, and the malpractice co can raise rates, (they win) the family doesn't get that much money to begin with as promised, and the physician who had the judgment against them looks like they did something wrong. Trust me after 30 years some of them are no better then street walkers but some in no way are dil. negligent. Deb
