Guest guest
Dearest CruiseCrazyConnie! I hope you find another cruise soon to satisfy your addiction! I've never been on a cruise like that.... just a riverboat cruise in Germany. I'd love to cruise the mediterranean. Sigh!! I think I'll be jellified for a while.... it takes about a year for the compound to break down entirely and the bone to fill in... so I'm still a jellyjaw. An early finish wouldn't be too bad.... I will probably be one of those ancient moms! At least with my jaw lengthened, I've already had my " face lift " ha ha. I am always amazed to meet people my same age yet whose life path has been so different from mine. That's great that you're able to stay home with your kids. I'm sure they benefit from having their mom involved in their lives! Your ordeal after your first child sounds horrendous! Isn't it wonderful that it resolved itself after your second child. I wonder what was going on.... regardless, I'm glad it's gone now! Thank you for your best wishes- I need them! I have my preop tomorrow and then the procedure thursday afternoon. They are getting me in quickly, huh?? I will let you know how it goes. Like my meetings with my OS before surgery, I have a long list of questions for tomorrow. Oh, and I think I'm going to have to do the same test (collecting the urine) Does sound charming! While I'm at my appt you'll be at physical therapy.... please do let me know how it goes and what it's like! I've never had physical therapy either. I hope it resolves everything. My mother has had really great results from physical therapy (other problems, but here's hoping the same for you!) And you have my best wishes too. Talk to you soon! Guest guest
Jellifying CrystalQuarry Katja, Physical therapy was actually fun! Can you believe it? Well, at least it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. They had me lie down with heat pads on my face. After that they did some kind of a massage on my head, face and jaws (he gave it a real professional sounding name that I can't remember), and then he did a stretching technique. Wow, I said, this is like a day at the spa. Really, the therapist said, then my day at the spa turned into an afternoon with a true massicist (spelling?). Anyways, the stretching was pretty intense, but hay, I can handle it. He also said that with TMJ problems they usually do neck massage and stretching as part of the therapy. I say, BRING IT ON!!! I hope all goes well at your appointment tomorrow. I'll be thinking of you and sending you best wishes all day. Let me know how it goes. I didn't really understand exactly what they're doing, is it a surgical procedure? Will you have to stay down for a while? Take care, Cruise Addicted Connie
