Guest guest
Haaaa, hhaaaaaa! Oh my gosh. I wasn't expecting that and I am laughing so hard! Thanks, I needed that. Ted, where is Ted? We need to get Ted over to help Deb. Maybe he can help ease her fears! JR > > I can hear your name being yelled all the way down here in NJ!!!!! > Better go fix that name. Guest guest
LOL - I'll have to call and tell you that one! LOL I'm at the library right now - using their FREE wireless connection. Next, I'm going to work on putting a household routine/schedule down so that I can follow the advice I just gave and start " scheduling " some more time for myself. Although I do get it every Saturday - I don't just need time to myself - I've been wanting to start a bridge club or sewing club with some of my new " southern " friends and I need to decide when that will be - but, of course, we have not had a routine or schedule since October (Ian as you know has been admitted to the hospital 5 times in the last 4 1/2 months) and now that I think things will hopefully quiet down some - I'm ready to start socializing again!!! I can't just drink wine, eat cheese puffs and watch desperate housewives with my husband - it's just not the same!! LOL - H - H > > > > > > I can hear your name being yelled all the way down here in > NJ!!!!! > > > Better go fix that name. You'll be heard all over the US at > this > > > rate. Guest guest
- I have that problem too -the bed time routine. My boys are always fighting over who gets mommy to put them to bed. You'd think they haven't seen me all day!! Oh brother. Your plans sound exciting. Have you done either one on your own before? I can sew (have made drapes, and other stuff) but hate to follow patterns. I know how to embroider a bit, crochet, cross- stitch, needlepoint - but I'm not that good at any of it! LOL I think I'd like to make an afghan for the family room. My dh wants me to make a lap quilt for his legs when he reads - and, I've made a quilt before on the machine (without a pattern) but, I would like to learn to do it by hand. What are you interested in making? Wish we were closer so we could do it together! <grin> Are these classes at a community college or a craft store - or somewhere else? Would love to hear more about your thoughts! - H > > > > > > > > I can hear your name being yelled all the way down here in > > NJ!!!!! > > > > Better go fix that name. Guest guest
> I'm actually looking into the adult school classes and can't decide if I want to take knitting or sewing. Of course I'm looking at the time of the class because of the bedtime routine around here but I'm sure hubby can do most of it without me. The kids probably won't want to go to bed without me home though. Knitting is something you can easily " pick up " . It's simple to learn, although it does take awhile to get comfortable and knit a consistent guage (so many stitches and rows to the inch). But you can always knit while you rub footsies with your hubby in the evening. Or, while you're watching your children play. With sewing you must concentrate really hard and it's a lonely hobby. You're usually in a room all to yourself. If your kids take naps and go to bed early, and you don't mind being away from hubby, then I'd take up sewing.
