They get adjusted to the band in a week or10 days. My DD had the same problem and her body took a week to adjust to it. She got her band 3 weeks ago. In the mean time you can take off the band every hour or so and wipe her head and band. Also keep room temperature cool and dress her light like cotton onsies.

Hi,My baby is 5 month old and got the band a couple days ago.I am so worried about the weather.Nowadays, it is so hot and humid.My baby is sweating a lot and I can feel his head where the band is put, gets so hot.I am wondering whether I should continue to put the band on for this hot summer wheather.Is is OK? My son got his 2 weeks ago (Hanger band) and he was the same at first but your baby will get used to it pretty fast as my son did. The only thing you can really do is clean it 2x a day and dress him in light clothing and stay indoors as much as possible. Keep a fan near him maybe. That'll help him cool off too.
