Guest guest
Hi , Sorry if your post got ignored. I kind of think many of us were distracted by the Katrina disaster as there hasn't been much traffic here lately. Then again, it could be moms & dads getting their kids back in school, or university/college students going back too. Not great excuses, but plausible ones, I think. Sounds like you got the answer you wanted from your surgeon about your wires. I don't know about pain on removal of the wires, but you might want to take some tylenol or aspirin the day of, just in case. I did that when I got my braces off (the ortho ground the teeth to get the glue off and they were kind of sensitive). When you say chin grafting, does that mean they took bone from somewhere else on your body? Or did they just slide the existing chinbone forwards or back? You're welcome to join oss2, it's a smaller group and we usually reply to everyone's posts. I agree, it's possible to get lost in the crowd here. The oss2 site is at http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/orthognathicsurgerysite2 Be glad that you don't have infection!
