Guest guest
Are the kind of ulcers we develop post op the same kind we developed pre-op? I (like Vitalady) was an ulcer producing machine. I am now on Nexium once a day, and my gastro dr. believes that will be probably forever. I ask this because I just had a cousin die of cancer of the esophagus and an Uncle who died about 18 years ago from the same thing. I have to say it makes me leery sometimes. My brother has been giving me lectures up the wazoo lately about it (since my cousin's death). I told him that the surgery probably helped to avoid further complications with it (alright, I would have told him anything at that point), but is there any truth to that? Does anyone know?
