Guest guest
How old is Brayden??? 15lbs sounds like he must be under 2 years old, and if he is 2 or older then he is very underweight. Either way, I do not believe that any expert would recommend starting GH for him right now. The experts (published ones) believe now that except for specific circumstances (older children, extremely short children), growth hormone should not be started until after age 2 or 3 (it won't usually help before then, as GH levels are not what produces growth prior to that age), and also that caloric deficits should be made up already. What this means is that with additional calories, if your child's weight is CLIMBING the curves, instead of paralleling the growth curves, then the child is experiencing " catch up growth. " When that catch-up growth is finished (what will usually happen is that the child will also have a burst of height " catchup growth " ) then the child's weight curve will plateau and begin to parallel the normal curves. THEN it is time to start the GH. Good luck!!! > > I took brayden for a weight check with the nurse today and he is > actually at 15lb 12oz, so we have gotten maybe a half pound in the past > 2 months, well atleast he hasnt gone down.
