And I have learned alot, and I mean alot about this disease that we all have here. I hope you can find someone, but remember we here would love to be your friends too. I would like to find another sufferer who would be willing to become an internet friend. Age difference would not matter. Another Australian would be preferable, who comes from a regional district . They would be able to empathise with the lack of services available. I am female ,72 years young (some days) and have 3 daughters , eleven grandchildren and two great grandchildren. I am in early stage, still having 69% lung capacity at last count 6 months ago. I have another check next month. I remain hopeful..... Anne. Guest guest
anne.Good for you for being 72 years young! Are you on any meds? What is your actual diagnosis? I have had so many, I'm not sure what I have. Right now, I am going with ILD/hypersensitivity pneumonitis. Congrats on all those grands and great grands. They are fun! Welcome to the group. You will get an Air Family that is the best.Kathy ILD/Hypersensitivity pneumonitis 3/08 Type 2 diabetes forever agoSubject: Some one to talk to..To: Breathe-Support Date: Friday, January 8, 2010, 8:01 PM I would like to find another sufferer who would be willing to become an internet friend. Guest guest
Hi Anne, Welcome to the Forum..I'm an Aussie too..I live in Northern NSW.whereabouts are you? Have you checked the Australian Lung Foundation Website (just Google it!) There is a lady called Miriam who is a Sydney based volunteer Phone Support PF person through them . They've asked me to try to start up a Support Network for PF folk in the Qld/NSW border area. I'm just collecting names & will be sending out a first group E-mail when i get back from holidays. Even though this Forum is based in the UASA it has been a wonderful place to find understanding & ways of coping as we journey along this path. You can read the Archives...look up the Files...just explore the Web based Message Site..there's loads of help here. Keep posting... in Oz IPF: Fibrotic NSIP/UIP ?????
