Thanks for the info, Pam. I haven't had any labs done since last

summer and didn't get a copy of them, something I plan to do this

time around. PTH is what kind of test? A calcium level? I'm thinking

of upgrading to Vitalady's stronger calcium supp with the boron, etc.

I reckon being distal is going to punish me more in the calcium

department than I have realized. My surgeon's program doesn't really

tell us squat. That's why I'm glad I lurk and learn from ya'll.

To update, my dentist told me to check with my doc on the nutritional

aspects. Her approach is to give me some samples of ACT fluoride

rinse to use after eating and/or brushing. Also, the Biotene

toothpaste to deal with dry mouth issues. I don't have dry mouth

often because I am good about drinking the water. But at night, which

is a critical time for the old mouth to do stuff, it is dry. Here I'd

been rinsing with Listerine before bedtime and it's actually only

making it worse, according to the dentist. So posties, get yourself

some fluoride rinse, even the generic is fine she said. Use it any

time you can't brush after eating.

Thanks for the email replies!
