Guest guest
You know I was expecting this. When I was a teenager and of course oh so thin, (we all know what having 3 kids can do to your tummy and butt) I had my wisdom teeth taken out. I lost 15 lbs in 2 weeks, and barely kept myself above 100 lbs. Not the case now. I actually have summer clothes from last year that were a little, hmmm, how would you say? SNUG! I'll bet they'll fit now. By the way, I looked at your photos. Nice. But how in the world did your face work that well on day 8 that you could smile? I still feel like I am carved out of a block of wax, and not by a very good sculptor either. SIGH. What exactly did you have done? Guest guest
Connie, Yeah, I was lucky with recovery. I had lower advancement. It went well. However, now I am growing annoyed with the numbness and cheek irritation where the incisions are rubbing up against my brackets. And the splint is so annoying. I've been crabby the last few days for this and other reasons. (PMS, men, work ...) I had my four wisdom teeth removed at age 17 and three days later went on a 21-day survival course with NO toothbrush! No problems, either, amazingly enough. I was lean and mean by the end of that trip, though! Luna

Guest guest
Yeah, that sounds about like what I have. If you want to see mine, look at my photos under Luna. I have a photograph labeled with splint, surgical hooks and bands. Thought it would help people know what to expect. Talking isn't bad. It was a little hard at first but I sound pretty normal now. Guest guest
The metal band is part of the splint. The acrylic is attached to it and tiny wires go around it and the brackets to hold it in place. L > > > Thanks Luna > > That realy helps showing the splint and hooks.
