Guest guest
Hi .I am 22 years old and am considering to undergo a Orthognathic surgury. I was wondering if all patiants before the surgury need to wear braces? also how long after the procedure are you unable to speak? I am a college student and was hoping to do the surgury during the summer break - about 2.5 months. is that enough time to recupurate and be able to speak again so this will not bother my studies? do u need to wear braces after the surgury, or can you have invisiline insted? what are the prices like? any advice will be greatly appreciated! Ricki.
Guest guest
Hi Ricki, As far as I know all patients wear braces before surgery. I didn't try to speak for about 6 days, but by day 7 my surgeon said that I had to start talking soon. I did start to talk but was very hard to understand so I mainly just said yes or no. I should think that 2.5 months is enough time. sarah .p. Visit my blog at: http://journeythroughjawsurgery.blogspot.com --------------------------------- Yahoo!
