Guest guest
I'm Day 20 and haven't been eating much as it's just too much work. Especially when I'm at work. I have some soymilk, maybe some soup or a smoothee, that's it. And I've lost maybe a pound and a half. Story of my friggin' life. Guest guest
Hi Luna, Try to remember that your food is medicine for your healing process. I always figured a can of Ensure was a great way to keep up the essentials, and I actually liked it. Now is not the time to give up on good nutrition, unfortunately. > I'm Day 20 and haven't been eating much as it's just too much work. > Especially when I'm at work. Guest guest
Yeah, , I probably need to make a little more effort at staying stocked up on things I can eat. Like right now, I need to eat breakfast but there is nothing in the house that sounds appetizing. But the splint comes out Monday so that should help. Guest guest
Hi Luna, Couldn't you at least bear some of whatever you've got (as medicine) until Monday? That's not so far off. I remember exploring ice cream flavours at the grocery store: peanut butter, mandarin orange, etc. We don't normally buy ice cream so it was a real treat for me. You could add a banana, some fresh fruit, and some protein powder if you're whizzing it up into a smoothie or a shake. I'm even making myself hungry just thinking about it! > Yeah, , I probably need to make a little more effort at staying > stocked up on things I can eat. Guest guest
Yes. I'll be OK. I just had quesadillas and creamed spinach for dinner. The former was very difficult to chew, the latter very difficult to clean out of my mouth afterwards. But I'm fed. I'll have to go shopping tomorrow. There isn't much in this house that interests me. Guest guest
Glad to know you are doing well and eating. I guess I will have to shop before hand because I would starve before eating spinich (HAHA). > > > Yeah, , I probably need to make a little more effort at > > staying > > > stocked up on things I can eat. Guest guest
That dinner sounds yummy to me! I love quesadillas (cheese) and spinach too (raw or cooked, doesn't matter). In my experience, post-op, everything is a pain to clean up, you just have to bear it until you get beyond braces. Or exist on clear liquids, which is worse to bear, I think. Hope you got out and stocked up on stuff! > > > Yeah, , I probably need to make a little more effort at > > staying > > > stocked up on things I can eat.
