Guest guest
I think the protocol is to get a written letter from them stating that NOTHING else is added to them, that they are only pure apples not processed or concentrated. Manufacturers have some " wiggle room " with their labels, but if they are able to give you a written letter, then it can be possibly considered legal. It has to be a letter- no e mails, phone calls. If you get a letter, you can upload it to the files on this board. Even with this, if you are not doing as well as you think you should on SCD, it is best to not use processed products. You will need to get a letter from them, on company letterhead, stating that there are no added sugars or starches. One problem with apple juice products is that very often, they will derive sugar from apples, and add it to the juice to make it sweeter. They can still legitimately say " 100% apples " because the sugar is derived from apples... but it does have added sugar. If you do get a letter, I request that you send it to me before uploading it. — Marilyn New Orleans, Louisiana, USA Undiagnosed IBS since 1976, SCD since 2001 Darn Good SCD Cook No Human Children Shadow & Sunny Longhair Dachshund Babette the Foundling Beagle
