Guest guest
Last year I used those services especially with trying to deal with my father's death. His death was a horrible experience in that it was my first ever death I've had to encounter and the fact that he and I were not close was even worse. Plus he died in front of us screaming as if not ready to go so that made the whole experience something that I still have yet to get out of my mine. I also encountered situations (attitudes) at work following my surgery as well as 4 more deaths so it seemed to have worked for me at first, but then I never went back and she never followed up to check and see how I was doing. Still having episodes, but I'm getting over it slowly. Still on meds, but focusing my mind on other things that seems to make me feel somewhat better. Speaking of focusing my mind on other things, Ron and I are leaving tomorrow morning going to the mountains snowmobiling and that definitely takes my mind off things. Tina RE: Therapy issues LOL...is it just me, or does there seem to be a large number of us who are/have been " crazy " and required the serves of a mental health professional? ==================================== Beth: Could be the mo thing. I always said to Tim that I wasn't going to be able to lose weight and keep it off until I got my head screwed on right. Thank God for this surgery, because though I do still have some issues with the eating, etc., a lot of it has worked itself out along the way. Am I open to going for more therapy? Sure, at some point. I have so many things stored up on the shelf in a closet in my head with the door bolted closed that someday its all going to come tumbling out. However, for right now, the door's hinges are holding strong. : ) Also, you can look at the fact that there are over 3,000 of us on this list, could just be a matter of statistics of why it seems so many of us have sought psychiatric help.
