Try not to 'kill' yourself with SCD Goat Milk Yoghurt!

'Low and Slow' does not mean going from 1 Tablespoon of dripped yoghurt to 1 Cup

in a day, no matter how good it tastes :-)

They don't say it is " Powerful Stuff " for no reason.

There is a reason why Die-Off is called 'Die'-Off!!

That is why you spent your 55th birthday in bed!!

Hi Ginger:

IMO I have to say yes - I didnt know until last week that i cant have dairy. I had been having trouble eating any foods and thought it was because i ran out of yogurt (thinking the good bacteria was helping me) and was waiting for the next batch. When i ate the yogurt i made with regular milk i woke up with vomiting, severe gas pains, "D" and heavy sweating. Not knowing why that happened i thought it might be the yogurt (last thing i ate 2 hours before bed) so i tried again in the morning - right away tounge, back of throat and left side of face swelled up.

When i looked at my journals for the last 3 months (before SCD) and the last three weeks on SCD - i realized everything i ate contained either butter, cheese, or milk and had bad symptoms. Now that i have taken dairy out of my diet (since thursday afternoon) I feel great and havent had any symtoms and now i am able to eat more foods.

I am hoping that being on SCD for about a year will help me with this and hopefully will no longer have problems. (Anybody Yes? No? I hope I LOVE CHEESE! :) )

I havent tried goats milk yet - will be making that this week when the dairy free ProStarter arrives.

BTW... what goat/sheep cheese brands are you using?

Take Care

Jean

There is a really good sheep cheese called manchego. It's expensive, but very

tasty!
